Functionality
Interested in researching an important topic? The OH Participatory Platform has several tools that you can opt for and this way facilitate decision making on important issues. Survey is just one of few participatory tools which is easy to create and easy to complete.
Why opt for it?
“Surveys are expensive, time-consuming and they lead to nothing.” Sounds familiar? Following are only few advantages of online surveys and reasons why it is such an important research tool.
- Lower Cost
Online Surveys are proven to have High Return on Investment thus they are changing the way companies feel about investing in the market research. Apart from obvious economic perks such as low cost of dissemination, development, management, production there is also a possibility of obtaining a closed feedback loop to control churn rate. How? The survey software gives an option of sending an automatic notification in case a participant is not satisfied with the service. This way you a company can adapt more easily to participant needs.
- Greater Speed
YES it is fast! The focus is on speed of response. Online survey accumulates very large volumes of interviews in a short period of time. Via one click anyone around the globe at any time can submit the survey. This will be useful for CH Labs, since you can quickly target your group and quickly obtain a desired amount of answers.
- Engagement
In essence, a survey triggers a dialogue between an organization and a participant. In a case of OH, it is a first step towards actively using the participation platform. It was our very first task aimed to designing a user-friendly platform which answers the general needs of OH team. For this reason, OH partners were asked to fill out the online survey and thus provide us with the direct feedback. The important message here, however, is that it doesn’t stop with the survey. In fact, that’s just the beginning!
- Identify your USP (Unique Selling Proposition)
Sure, surveys are great to help find an organization's weaknesses but they’re also a great help in identifying strong points. Are the CHLabs performing well? Let the team know! Identifying what we're good at helps define unique selling points, which can then be implemented in an engagement strategy.
- Easy to create and easy to use! Submitting and creating a Survey takes few minutes! Check the Manuals to see how it is done.
Things to tackle!
Surely there are doubts when it comes to Market Research Tools. Transparency? Efficiency? Accuracy?
The reliability of survey data may depend on many factors. Here are few highlights to keep in mind:
- Lack of trust
When creating an online survey, one should keep in mind that transmitting trust online can be challenging. Respondents may not feel encouraged to provide accurate, honest answers. It is useful to add a text that guarantees data protection (terms and conditions of use) and text that encourages and motivates honest answers.
- Losing on quality and gaining on quantity
Online surveys are easy to set up and easy to access, thus there is a danger of putting less emphasis on quality and gaining more on quantity. For example, Surveys with closed-ended questions may have a lower validity rate than other question types. There is also a possible Data errors due to question non-responses may exist. Questions must be specifically designed, to reach accurate target groups and thus provide relevant results.
